My young family and I planned to go to a district convention many years ago, but the tires on my vintage Cadillac were badly worn. As a safety-conscious family man, who was both an elder and pioneer, I feared for my family's safety, perhaps, too, for innocent drivers and their families into whom I could, possibly, plow should one or all of my tires blow and send me careering across the motor way.
Whether it appears strategic or logical from a human standpoint -- or NOT -- good JWs do not falter in their determination to put spiritual matters first. We firmly resolved to go, with tires or no tires. BTW, The Caddy was quite choice, apart from balding rubber.
Subsequent to our decision, a family member -- who was not a lover of our truth and of our God -- gave us a newer sedan with BRAND NEW TIRES! All I prayed for was tires, scarcely expecting a newer and better car.
We came and went to the convention with no tire troubles whatsoever. Our New Yorker stalled and conked out numerous times in San Francisco traffic, but Jehovah moved an unbeliever to assist us in our time of need. All the rest is of no consequence.

My cat died suddenly!

i did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.

i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.

so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.

I first heard him give a talk at Twickenham (London) back in the seventies . He was a then a commanding speaker and I was well impressed..I only saw on t v after that when the BBC Panorama reporter collared him for an impromptu interview about child abuse. He came over as not at all likeable and cold. -- BluesBrother

Edited to add: I apologize if, in the above post re: Ted Jaracz, I may wrongly have linked Pat Garza with that incident. That was my initial recollection. I do recall, however, seeing T.J. approached as he began going onstage.

i have friends that pretty much need to be in a relationship.

if they aren't with somebody, they are miserable.

if they are in a relationship, they are unhappy.. do you feel that you need to be n a relationship or are you content to be single..
